FInal Term: 1st Week of Discussion

For this week's discussion, we performed something like marketing strategy. It is how you sell your product in just one minute. The item that I picked is a hand sanitizer. For just one minute, I market the sanitizer by telling the customer (our classmates) that it is a necessity to have one for protection against bacteria and for convenience. For this activity, I conclude that marketing your product to the customers is no joke and it takes guts to do one.

ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND: 6TH WEEK OF DISCUSSION

Every step I made, my heart races faster      Every number I heard I wish I could reverse time     But every beat of my heart speaks for it     It made me anxious every time I made closer to you     I may look calm but I’m screaming inside              And finally, you said my name     Panting and sweating like I finished a marathon    I went to you and presented the best of me I was nervous during the pitching, though I am not the presenter of the group but still, because I thought the panels won’t like our proposal. I thought we they will suggest another product to be proposed to them in the next presentation, but they didn’t and that made me glad. They said it’s better to have a graphic design so that they can visualize the product’s features and functions.

ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND: 5TH WEEK OF DISCUSSION

One of the preparations for the pitching is to have a business model. This business model helps us to organize what we need in order to market our product, the partnerships we need, to be acquainted with our customers and etc. The most challenging part in this making is to introduce your possible product to the market, whether text message marketing, online marketing or etc. We chose to introduce our product via text message marketing and we receive some positive and negative feedbacks, but mostly positive. There are some customers prefers to look for our product’s design before they decided to be interested on the product though we presented them the features. Because of this case, we learned that the effective way of selling our product is to make it visible to our customers’ eyes, a graphic design would do.

Entrepreneurial Mind: 4th Week of Discussion

The day was a rainbow but suddenly turned to gray. Maybe the weather empathized with me. I tucked-in my shirt. I straightened my posture. I emptied my mind from negative thoughts. I walked in front of the class with my heart pounding; trying to catch my breath. I was the presenter of this time. I presented our business proposals Answered lots of questions Accepted some suggestions Embraced criticisms Brainstormed         Opened-up to new developments These general details that I’ve presented sounds easier, yes it is. It is easier if it would not be a business proposal if it’s only an idea, just an idea. But it’s not. It needs to be a thorough planning and execution since it is a business proposal to be implemented in the public market. The suggestions are good for improvement, but the alteration in your product− the design, the features, the value, and the cost, requires a lot of work, time, and planning. Although we have these problems on lending our resources to this

Entrepreneurial Mind: 3rd Week of Discussion

In this week of discussion, we were tasked to present our concepts and explain its features and uniqueness. Each of our ideas and patents were evaluated, they questioned its purpose and significance to the society. So what I have learned in this point is that, you need to evaluate and questions your own work to make a progress. Also, you need to be open for criticism and suggestions not only to make progress to your product but also for your growth. For this week, we haven’t been evaluated yet. But what I have observed during the evaluation is that, proving your idea/ concept is no joke. It needs a wide-range of knowledge and communicative talk. And your idea must be aligned to reality not too much of idealism, it must be attainable. As for me, I’m more of the idealist person so I’ve been struggling to balance my imagination and the reality around me. But as to what I have contributed to my group, in our product, I think I focused on practicality and innovation as what my group als

Entrepreneurial Mind: 2nd Week of Discussion

What we have discussed in this week is about the Design and Elevate, the 4-Step Process, and Evaluation of Product (The Interview). This week’s activity made me realized how entrepreneurs deal with the point of pain and how they innovate their products to meet the need of their customers. One of the activities we’ve performed is the Tower-Making Marshmallow. Suppose that the marshmallow is your customer and the pasta is your product. What we had been thinking at that moment is to build our foundation first, to concentrate on perfecting our product which is the pasta while we keep on neglecting our costumer, the marshmallow. All along the process, since we keep our eyes on the pasta, we thought we built a strong foundation that is enough to hold our marshmallow, but we did not. It couldn’t stand alone. It’s frail. However, what we have learned is, we must first give our attention to our customer, focus on their needs, and garnering information through listening to their suggestion

Entrepreneurial Mind: First Week of Discussion

Image
Entrepreneurial Mind is a subject which requires a broad imagination of ideas and concepts. This past week, the discussions of basic principles and behavioral patterns in entrepreneurship have been applied in our activities.            For this week’s lesson, we discussed the behaviors which entrepreneurs and business tycoons have possessed. These behavioral patterns are guidelines to young entrepreneurs on getting their way to success. On this discussion, there’s a behavior that I can relate to, the perfection vs. good enough. Between these two behaviors, before, I thought it was better to keep working on perfecting your product and to perfectly plan your business before marketing it. But it’s not. I’ve learned that perfection in your mindset is just keeping you from being versatile and being innovative.            One activity that requires your confidence and reasoning skill is the nerve-wracking Rejection Therapy. Rejection Therapy is an activity to train students to b
